Michael is a CA(SA) with a BBusSci in Finance and Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) from UCT.

He began his career in financial services, building a strong foundation in financial discipline, analysis and commercial thinking. Over the course of his career, he has gained extensive international experience across financial services, investment management and real estate, spending nine years in London working within high-performing global organisations. During this time, he worked in Financial Planning and Analysis and later progressed into a leadership role where he led the finance function for a multi-property investment fund across the UK.

Michael joins Galetti with a clear belief that financial reporting should be more than an end result, it should be the starting point for better decision-making and stronger commercial outcomes. He is passionate about transforming financial insights into meaningful business strategies, bringing together technical expertise and commercial thinking to drive growth and create value.

Outside of work, Michael is a lifelong sports enthusiast with a passion for cricket, rugby, soccer, golf and padel, although golf and padel have become his current favourites. He also enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and has a growing interest in artificial intelligence and its impact on the future of business and everyday life.
