He studied at the University of Cape Town, where he developed both academically and professionally while pursuing his passion for rugby. Rugby has played a significant role in shaping Ruan’s character, instilling resilience, leadership, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. In his matric year, he was selected to represent the Sharks at the Craven Week tournament, one of South Africa’s most prestigious school rugby competitions.

Ruan continued his rugby journey at the University of Cape Town, representing the UCT Young Guns and training as part of the Ikeys Rugby Squad. These experiences further strengthened his competitive spirit, discipline, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Professionally, his experience spans sales, account management, IT, and software development, giving him a strong foundation in communication, problem-solving, and client service. He is passionate about continuous learning and building long-term relationships based on trust and professionalism.
